Hunter: The Reckoning returns to Xbox in a sequel offering one additional character, exclusive downloadable content via Xbox Live, and a lineup of new weapons, power-ups, fighting moves, and edge powers. Based on White Wolf's pen-and-paper RPG, the game has players rescuing the town of Ashcroft from a legion of supernatural creatures, including vampires, werewolves, changelings, wraiths, and more. The original game's team of four are back and ready to fight, which means they'll clean up the streets using a combination of hand-to-hand combat and ranged attacks with over 40 weapons.
If the weapons aren't enough to save the town's citizens, players can call upon a character's unique edge powers for additional healing, defensive, or offensive abilities. As each hunter advances through more than 20 environments inspired by the Redeemer chapter in the World of Darkness scenario, he or she will gradually increase stats in a number of key areas. Each level culminates in a boss fight until players can finally stop the evil plaguing the town. Once again four players can cooperate together on a single screen, with as many as 30 enemies attacking the group at any given time. |
