Product Information
Gamers travel to every corner of a procedurally generated universe to explore, fight, trade, and survive in No Man's Sky. Developer Hello Games (Joe Danger) estimates the universe in No Man's Sky contains more than 18 quintillion planets players can visit, each with unique climates, topography, and wildlife. Gamers can collect data on stars, planets, and lifeforms they find and then upload the info to a galactic database known as The Atlas. Uploading to The Atlas earns players currency which they can use to upgrade their spacesuit, their scanning tool, and their spacecraft.

The extent to which players travel depends on how advanced their spaceship's hyperspace jump engines are, and how much fuel they are carrying. They can view a galactic map and travel to solar systems that have been discovered and uploaded to The Atlas, and the paths from planet to planet may be filled with trading posts, friendly NPCs, and hostile factions. Interactions with alien factions can have long-lasting effects, and gamers can improve relations with groups by learning their languages.

Roughly 90 percent of the planets in No Man's Sky aren't capable of supporting life, but the ones that can may be just as deadly, thanks to toxic atmospheric conditions, extreme temperatures, aggressive wildlife, and robot-like Sentinels that attack when players have collected too many resources. Any data that hasn't been sent to The Atlas is lost when players die, but if they survive long enough they may discover ancient artifacts that help unlock the secrets of the universe.

Included in the limited edition is a SteelBook case, art book, comic book, PlayStation 4 dynamic theme, and three in-game items. The three in-game bonus items are the Photonix Core that boosts ship speed, Trader Charisma which improves the player's buying and selling prices, and a Boltcaster SM weapon blueprint.
